Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation is a multidisciplinary program designed to help people who have experienced heart problems, such as a heart attack, heart surgery or heart failure, improve their cardiovascular health and quality of life. This program addresses physical, emotional and educational aspects to promote recovery and reduce the risk of future cardiac events.

Cardiac rehabilitation programs include:

  1. Supervised exercise: A key component is structured and monitored physical exercise, designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strengthen the heart and muscles, and increase endurance.

  2. Education : Provides information about heart disease, risk factors, medication management, healthy diet, stress management, and lifestyle changes to promote heart health.

  3. Emotional support: Provides counseling and emotional support to help patients deal with the psychological impact of heart disease, such as anxiety, depression, and fear of experiencing a repeat cardiac event.

  4. Evaluation and follow-up: Includes regular evaluations of cardiac function, exercise testing, and ongoing monitoring to monitor the patient's progress and adjust the rehabilitation plan as necessary.

Our ultimate goal is to help patients recover physically and emotionally, improve their quality of life, and reduce their risk of future cardiac complications.
